One such mental-model boundaries are our national boundaries or borders. They were an invention a long time ago to make economic transactions smoother. Now they stand there as a physical walls for human beings who by chance were borne on the other side of this physical manifestation of our mental borders. If we really acknowledge the equal value of human beings there is no logical reasoning to why we shouldn’t allow, as Georgescu-Roegen suggested with lukewarm reception, human beings to move freely.
In one stroke this would increase the world motivation to end poverty, again.
